DevCon Excellence Awards

Friday night started with the Welcome Reception by the Product Showcase. A great chance to network, talk to developers & exhibitors and grab a bite to eat. Of course the food was excellent, however I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that I was disappointed to not see any chicken :-)

The reception was directly followed by the FBA Award Ceremony, where the members of the FileMaker Business Alliance get together to honour various members of the community for their endeavours throughout the year.

As ever there were some very worthy winners not least of all Product of the Year going to FMWebSchool for their fantastic product FMTouch, which allows direct access to your online FileMaker database to either iPhone or BlackBerry devices.

I can also say how honoured I was to receive the FileMaker Excellence Award for Evangelism. This is an award that is nominated and voted for by my peers, which makes it a special award to receive. So I would just like to say a special thank you to all who nominated me. What this award is actually for, is me talking (some say non-stop, not least of all my wife) about FileMaker whenever I get the opportunity, but as those who know me I actually enjoy it and get a kick out of giving back to the community and educating new people about FileMaker.

    Paul,

Congrats on this. You are a very vocal advocate for FileMaker and this award is well deserved. Will go nicely next to your Mad Dog award eh!
