Life at Linear Blue
I have now fully settled into Linear Blue life and my new role. I spend most of my time working on marketing tasks and campaigns. These vary from writing newsletters and articles to analysing our website’s performance. But don’t panic, I won’t bore you anymore with Google Analytics, I went on about that enough in my previous blog. I Review SEO and PPC campaigns frequently, this is a time consuming task but worth doing a good job. One of my favourite jobs is putting together marketing campaigns, where i can come up with new marketing ideas and projects.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on our Twitter account. I have become impressed with how quickly you can build up a network in certain industries. I now realise Twitters full potential for businesses to share knowledge and promote themselves. I look forward to working closely with Twitter and learning from other tweeters, particularly Nigel Morgan.
Alongside my marketing role, I also assist with project management. The amount of project management that goes into a database solution has surprised me! The whole process from quoting through to deployment is a huge operation. Overseeing the smooth running of projects is massively time consuming and effective communication between the client and developers plays a critical role.
I look forward to working more with Twitter as a marketing platform. I will keep you posted on my twitter journey!
