After much excitement and hype, Apple have announced the iPad UK launch will be delayed until the end of May, with pre- orders starting 10th May. This has been the topic of much discussion on virtually every blog on the internet. The question being asked, is this genuinely a supply and demand delay or a strategic plan to increase the hype, which is already sky high!! Who cares, where would we be without Apple’s innovations?? All of us here at Linear Blue are counting down the days to test out the iPad!
Delivery dates aside, what is the iPad fuss really about? What can it do that the iPod touch, iPhone or Mac can’t? What makes the iPad special is the high resolution, 9.7 – inch LED – backlit IPS display. The single piece multi -touch design with over a thousand censors gives a premium display from any angle. The re-designed applications made specifically for the iPad, make the experience more powerful.
According to Apple, the real magic with iPad is holding the internet or a book in your hands. The keypad automatically slides up and flips to the correct orientation from all angles.
There are over 140,000 applications for the iPad, plus the iPhone or iPod touch applications. The gold rush is on for iPad developers now the iPhone SDK 3.2 is out.
