Some iPad Stats!

So, the iPad has been here in the UK for nearly two months, and I can still feel the hype! The arrival of the iPad has shaken up the technology world, and every CEO wants to be Steve Jobs!

Apple chief Steve Jobs initiated his speech at the Worldwide Developer Conference last week with some iPad statistics:

iPad

National Public Radio in the US have had 300,000 iPad app downloads since the launch of the iPad. The New York Times has had 350,000 iPad app downloads in one week, the Wall Street Journal said it had 10,000 active users each week and the Financial Times reports 130,000 since the launch of the iPad on 28 May!

These numbers are staggering and indicate the power Apple now holds in the technology industry. Some would say Apple is taking over the world or others might say Apple has become a monopoly that needs some urgent competition. Either way, I am completely in love with all of their latest innovations, in particular the iPod touch.

What are your verdicts? We would love to hear….
