The last day was all about FileMaker ‘Under the Hood’. The morning started with a session on the ESS side of FileMaker and how that integrates with SQL and what exactly is going on when FileMaker talks to an external SQL database. Details of how the keys work between the two systems, what data is loaded and when and how to get the most performance out of your system.
After last nights celebrations I think we were all a little tired in the morning, but there were too many good sessions to miss.
Friday night started with the Welcome Reception by the Product Showcase. A great chance to network, talk to developers & exhibitors and grab a bite to eat. Of course the food was excellent, however I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that I was disappointed to not see any chicken
Morning
This morning started off with some intermediate sessions to ease us into the conference. Although I guess it depends on your knowledge level as to whether you think they are basic, intermediate or advanced.
In advance of the keynote a few of us decided to get some advanced customer services training in at the gun range
First apologies for the disappearance over the last few weeks. Things have got rather busy of late.
Anyway it’s finally here DevCon 2009 and as of Sunday I’ll be jetting off to San Francisco ready to absorb all the latest tip & tricks and immerse myself in the world of FileMaker once again.
I was thinking how useful it would be for a user working in a FileMaker database to be able to filter a list in their current window based on content from another window, FileMaker 10 script triggers now makes this possible.
I’ve been working with FileMaker for over 20 years and the question that always arises is ‘Why do you use FileMaker?’ or ‘Is FileMaker the right platform to develop our database on?’.
Hi All
Sorry for the little break in the blog, but I needed a break myself. So having just got back from a very relaxing holiday I’m raring to go and normal service will be resumed forthwith
