I’ve just recently had a couple of my sites, the Linear Blue main site and this blog, accepted by Woopra. For those that don’t know it’s basically along the lines of Google Analytics, with one main difference – the added ability to track users in real time.

Over the last few weeks I’ve often blogged and twittered about the upcoming launch of the new Linear Blue website. Well, it’s now live. As of Wednesday morning we have our new website. We launched on April the first, not for the comedy value, but as it is the ninth birthday of Linear Blue.

Do you W3C?
In the last couple of weeks I’ve been working on the new Linear Blue website, which launches on the 1st of April. While making some changes I spent some time going back through the code to make sure it was still W3C compliment. Something which is very time consuming! (And as I’m not an out and out developer, also very frustrating!) This pushed me to think about why I was doing it. Presumably for the SEO benefit – but that got me thinking about how much SEO benefit I actually get… I mean, if I make my site compliant am I going to automatically jump up 20 places or something? Well, obviously not. So, why do we bother?
